SCENT BY SIX
BRIEF
I worked on this AI film for an SMU Module with our client partner: Scent by Six. The aim of the assignment was to create an AI short film for a Scent by Six product to showcase how scent can be use to alleviate the suffering of people.

BRAND DIAGNOSTICS
Scent by Six was born to heal the soul through scent: for instance, a familiar scent could help jog the memories of an Alzheimer's patient. This is consistent with Scent by Six's brand value: "Every Mood Lifted". Scent by Six also has a triple bottom line philosophy: ensure that they conserve the planet by sustainably sourcing ingredients, making a social impact by supporting caregivers and creating customized scents for them to unwind and relax, and make profits while seamlessly integrating the other two in the process.
BRAND AUDIT
Scent by Six is an artisanal fragrance label made in collaboration with prolific perfumers known around the world. Scent by Six is a play on the word "Sixth-sense", it aims to be our special sense by capturing moments in a bottle.
BRAND ARCHETYPE
Scent by Six is a unique blend of three personas: the Caregiver, the Lover and the Creator. As a Caregiver, it wants to ensure that it does business sustainably and responsibly. As a Creator, it strives to experiments with new scents and a create a refreshing fusion. As a Lover, it wants its customers to relive the beautiful, core memories they have made, through the sense of scent. I had to ensure that my short film reflected all three of these archetypes.

EXECUTION
AI SHORT FILM: THE SCENT OF LOVE
Movie Teaser Blurb: In a war-torn nation, Mark, blinded and deafened by bombings, embarks on a perilous journey to reunite with his love, Lydia in a refugee camp, guided by a scent.
PLOT
In a war-torn country ravaged by bombings, a teenage boy named Mark finds solace in his friendship with Lydia. On her birthday, he gifts her a bottle of fresh, citrus-scented perfume — a symbol of their bond and his unspoken love.
Their world shatters when a bombing devastates their neighborhood. Lydia and her family, desperate to survive, flee to a refugee camp in a neighboring country, taking the perfume with her as a memory of Mark.
Mark emerges injured and blinded after the bombings, pieces of shrapnel piercing both his eyes. After recovering from his injuries, Mark escapes the country and embarks on a dangerous search for Lydia, traveling from camp to camp, disabled yet determined. His efforts are met with silence — until one day, he catches a familiar scent in the air. It’s the perfume.
Guided by memory, Mark finds Lydia, and the two reunite. From that moment, they remain inseparable, navigating the uncertainty of life. Their story is a quiet testament to love, resilience, and the enduring bonds of human connection in the face of war. The Scent by Six perfume symbolizes the loving moments that Mark had spent with Lydia, and also a tool that guided him to during his tough times and enabled him to find his beloved. Yet it also is a grim sign, showcasing that world has fallen far, and we must do everything in our power to spread love and not hatred.
SO WHAT NOW?
The film was submitted to a AI short film contest, and AFR-SG, a volunteer led movement in Singapore working for the cause of refugees. Scent by Six was looking for a potential collaboration with enterprises that made a lasting social impact.
